Air travel isn't typically an eco-friendly venture. In fact, each flight generally leaves a pretty big carbon footprint; the aviation depart-ment of the International Civil Aviation Associ-ation (a United Nations agency) estimates emissions of carbon dioxide from air-planes is expected to triple by the year 2050.
